Introduction to Firearm Essentials
Whether your only experience with firearms is through watching movies, or if it’s simply been a few years since you have handled any and need to brush up on your skills. Our Introduction to Firearms Essentials course will leave you confident, knowledgeable and well informed, providing you with a firm foundation of handling and understanding for all types of firearms.
The course will consist of a breakdown of the various firearms, presentations, both visual and hands on, overview of parts and nomenclature, handling, safety, function, and more.
The course is approximately six hours, will have no live ammunition or actual firing of the firearms, and is taught at a comfortable pace for all students.

This course instructs students in the foundational principles, safe handling, storage, usage, and respectful treatment of firearms. Designed for beginners, no prior training or skill is necessary, and a lack of prior experience is preferred.

Participants will be introduced to various firearm types, nomenclature, functionality, ammunition overview, safety and personal protection equipment, shooting range regulations, expectations, and protocols. While no equipment is required for participation, individuals are welcome to bring their personal firearms for instructional purposes.

Note that live ammunition is strictly prohibited in the classroom.

The course comprises approximately 6 hours of lecture and hands-on training, excluding live range time.

The course fee is $200 per student - Minimum of Five students.

Follow-On training(s) in General Range Day, Handgun 1, or Rifle 1 courses are strongly advised to complement the classroom instruction with practical range application; thereby reinforcing the classroom learning experience.
